WHAT IF THE RING IS THE WRONG SIZE?

Don’t worry. We will arrange for it to be resized, just get in touch with us and we will resize it so it fits perfectly. Remember that there are many reasons for your finger size changing such as aging, climate and weight changes. We recommend that you wait a couple of days to double check that the ring still doesn’t fit. Please note that your warranty will be voided if the ring is resized by jewellers other than Jewlz Handmade Jewellery.

DO YOU DO COMMISSION PIECES?

Yes! Everything at Jewlz Handmade Jewellery is made to order so you could say that every piece is a commissioned piece.

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY PIECE?

It will take approximately 3 – 6 weeks to handcraft your piece, However if you have an urgent request we will do everything possible to accommodate you.

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ITEM?

Items being sent within New Zealand will be shipped as soon as your order is finished and will arrive approximately 1-3 days from being sent.

 

WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP TO?

At this stage we only ship within New Zealand.

 

DOES JEWLZ HANDMADE JEWELLERY SHIP TO PO BOXES?

No sorry, because we all items shipped require a signature on delivery we will need to send to an actual address preferably a business address as that guarantees someone will be there to sign for it.

 

WHAT ARE HEARTS AND ARROWS IN DIAMONDS? WHY DOES A DIAMOND HAVE HEARTS AND ARROWS?

Hearts and arrows are what can be seen in a diamond through a special viewing machine. Essentially they reflect excellent symmetry but don’t always necessarily reflect a well cut diamond. We first recommend looking for a diamond with a high cut grade then, in many cases, the symmetry will also be very good which will allow you to see hearts and arrows.

 

HOW MUCH SHOULD I BE SPENDING ON AN ENGAGEMENT RING?

It is entirely up to you and what you can afford. Commonly it has been said in recent years that a good guide is one – two months’ salary. Spend as much as you’re comfortable with but have regard for the fact that your partner will be wearing it for the rest of their life. Given that we are manufacturing jewellers we can work to your budget and will make sure you get the best diamond ring possible for a competitive price.

 

CAN I GET MY RING ENGRAVED?

Yes you can. Just tell us what you’d like and we will do the rest.

 

DO YOU MAKE WEDDING BANDS THAT MATCH THE ENGAGEMENT RING?

Yes we do, because we are manufacturing jewellery designers we can offer some great solutions for Matching or fitted wedding rings.

 

HOW DO I CLEAN MY RING?

The best way for you to clean your ring at home is to put some warm water into a container along with some dish washing detergent. Leave it to soak for a minute or so and using an old soft tooth brush just give it a gentle brush in and around the stones, then rinse it off with some warm water and dry with a soft cloth or towel.

CAN YOU MAKE A RING TO FIT MY BUDGET?

Yes we certainly can. If you have a higher or lower budget we can work with you to find the best possible design to suit your budget.

HOW DO I FIND MY GIRLFRIENDS RING SIZE WITHOUT GIVING AWAY THE SURPRISE?

There are a couple of different ways you could do this, You could try enlisting one of her close friends and ask for her help or you could do it the old fashioned way and guess, we find the best way is to take note of her finger shape and give us an idea of her build and finger shape and we can generally get it pretty close based on that. In any case if the finger size is not right we will do a complimentary resize ensure a perfect fit.

DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

In most cases yes you will need to pay a deposit in order for us to honour the quoted price.

You can pay in store via eft-pos or credit card. Alternatively you can also pay by direct credit into our bank account.
